Update

Peeps,

Okay what a thrilling past few weeks of basketball thus far. No upsets yet but the first round is providing some excellent chances for the low ranked teams. The Spurs pull out a gritty win last night to stave off elimination. OKC, CHI, MIA and BOS all go through the first round. Some with more ease then others. I have to say that BOS swept through the NYK pretty easily but they face some tougher competition in the following rounds. OKC is young and exciting to watch. The combination of Westbrook and Durant might be the best 1-2 punch in the NBA. Although LBJ and Wade might have something different to say about it. I see OKC going deep in the playoffs. We even have to people picking them to win the NBA finals. ORL looks to be in trouble here against ATL. Having lost the series to them in the regular season, Howard needs to be in top form to hold off elimination. CHI looks very promising as well, with the likes of Rose, Noah, Boozer and Dang they will be a force to reckon with. NOH is another great story with CP3 having a triple double in game 4 to bring the series 2-2. But Kobe yet again proves why he is the man in a dunk filled dominating perforce in game 5 to take the series lead 3-2. Two big games tonight in LAL vs NOH and DAL vs POR. I like DAL and I'm going for the underdog in NOH, only because that would knock out the two teams the picked Lakers to win it all!

Background

This is my first playoff pool and I'm stoked to provide this outlet to all that wish to join. Over the past few years I've played in many pools. Most are slapped together last minute and rarely continue into future years. I hope that many will join and to continue to grow the pool for all to enjoy.

Over the past 3 years I've played in several fantasy sports leagues. I have found it a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. It also scratches that competitive itch that most of you may have.

I love statistics and how most often in sports can mean nothing to the outcome of a game. Human performance is a factor that everyone tries to determine. Especially if you have ever placed a bet on a game. The ability to combined statistical analysis and human performance is a rare skill. I plan to provide some means of learning this skill with this site.
